The latest transmission technology from AMG Systems in the UK has helped provide the backbone to a state-of-the-art IP CCTV system for two campuses of St Christopher’s school, a leading British curriculum school in Bahrain.
Arencon Security undertook the security system upgrade for the school’s Saar and Isa Town campuses, with the main objective being to monitor the entrances and perimeter of each site. The ruggedised Ethernet switches from AMG Systems transmit images from the cameras to the digital recorder.
Arencon Security is a Bahrain-based installation company which provides CCTV, access control, alarm and perimeter security systems. Arencon General Manager, Richard Monkhouse said that the new system improves the safety of the premises for both staff and students.
“The systems supplement the manned guard force, and the centralised monitoring improves their ability to respond swiftly to any suspicious activity, as well as providing recorded evidence to aid any subsequent investigations,” he said.
