Dr. Jeffrey Liu Honored with Gold Shield Award

Dr. Jeffrey Liu, Founder and Chairman of Infinova, has recently been honored with the Gold Shield Award by the Global Security Industry Alliance (GSIA). One of the most celebrated awards in the security industry, it recognizes Dr. Liu’s vision and contributions in building and expanding Infinova over more than 20 years.

Dr. Liu founded Infinova in 1993 and was a pioneer in introducing security solutions to the international market, thus helping the global security industry grow. In 2010, Infinova became the first American company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and since then, it has completed multiple cross-border acquisitions, including March Networks (based in Canada) and Swann Communications (based in Australia).

Gold Shield Award winners are selected every two years from a pool of nominees based on their contributions to the global security industry and promotion of sustainable industry growth for a more secure future. Dr. Liu was one of 11 honorees from countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Russia, Indonesia and Japan.
“Thank you all for your support to Infinova for the past 20-plus years. We are truly honored to receive this award,” said Dr. Liu during his acceptance speech in front of a large audience at the award ceremony.

The award was presented at an evening reception during the 16th annual China Public Security Expo (CPSE), one of the largest security exhibition in the world with visitors from 160 countries and regions.

Infinova showcased technology solutions such as an Internet of Things platform which controls multiple devices from one centralized location and a Smart platform intended to integrate with a city/ organization’s existing technology systems. The exhibition also featured Infinova’s large-scale projects – the largest facial recognition camera deployment in the world (protecting two million residents within nearly 1000 communities in Shanghai), and a 470 million RMB smart city PPP (public-private partnership) in Zhongfang.

Besides, Infinova was also selected as a Smart City Project Recommended Brand. In addition, the company received a Golden Tripod Award for its facial recognition and analysis platform, and VS210-P series facial recognition camera.
