Hikvision has provided a comprehensive security solution for VIBGYOR Group to safeguard their students and schools in 25 locations spread in seven cities including Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Vadodara, Surat, Bengaluru and Lucknow. One of Hikvision’s trusted partners, Cosmos Group executed this project as a Master System Integrator, which is by far one of the largest surveillance and security solution projects in the education sector in India.
Challenge
VIBGYOR Group of schools wanted to have a robust multi-location 24×7 surveillance solution with HD resolution CCTV cameras with 100% surveillance coverage of school perimeter, basement and all classrooms. The most challenging aspect was to create a command and control room in its corporate head office in Mumbai for remote monitoring of all the locations.

Solution
The Professional Services Group at Cosmos carefully evaluated the VIBGYOR team’s requirements and recommended a solution comprising 2500 Hikvision cameras. The footage was made to be archived locally in the main control room for 30 days. The NVR/ DVR was placed at different locations within the school premises. All these DVRs were then connected to the network so that all cameras can be viewed from a single location by multiple users.
The fleet of 200 VIBGYOR Group school buses was also fitted with mobile DVR solutions. VIBGYOR Group was also provided with static IP so that all cameras can be viewed in the corporate office.

Result
The seamless surveillance solution created for VIBGYOR Group of schools creates high level security which was well appreciated by the parents and also helped the school’s principals to keep a close monitoring in terms of security and any other student related issues.
